Benny, thanks for the walk down memory lane with you iris. I have my own memories from about 50 years ago when iris grew in our back yard and alley (are you old enough to remember the "alleys"?) I'd forgotten that they smelled like grapes, until you mentioned it. Brought back a flood of memories. I wonder if your bank's iris are still there. Let us know if the scent is as glorious as you remember when they bloom.

I am so sorry. Life gets away from me sometimes.

I did make the trip and they were still there and they smelled the exact same -- Shasta gape soda. :)

While there, I met up with old friends and I even helped the couple who owned the garden with some weeding. In the autumn I will be making a trip bake where I was promised some divisions.
