Probably the only place you could buy it is from the hybridizer Dan Hansen.

Well, $100 isn't out of line for an intro just coming on the market, is it? I seem to see a lot of new intros at that price or higher. Maybe the namesake's family can get it at a discounted price if they contact Mr. Hansen.

$100 for a brand new daylily is a good price.
I'm not going to buy a lot of $100 daylilies though.
For a non daylily addict or non daylily hybridizer I'm sure $100 for a plant sounds like a lot.

'Sully Kroen' is a new 2015 daylily introduction, meaning 2015 is the first time the plant has been made available for purchase by the hybridizer Dan Hansen and is the reason for the higher price when compared to daylilies with earlier introduction dates. All the links above will bring you to the information about this daylily, a very pretty one, too!

Dan is a super nice guy to deal with, I would give him a call, or email, if you are interested in obtaining the plant.

Geez, you guys are quick! I was outside planting the veggie garden. Even with the next 2 nights temps suppose to be in the 30's I think it should warm up by the time the seeds sprout...at least I hope so.

If the lily was named after him, the family (if a minor) would have to sign permission (I think this is a AHS rule for naming a dl after someone?)
Which means the family would surely know that the dl was being named after the person and have direct contact with that hybridizer and therefore a source for obtaining the plant.

Well...if Dan named a daylily after someone, he would for sure help any family member out. I agree with Char...just give him a call. Hes a very nice guy.
