It's 101 here today, don't even want to know what the "feel like" temperature is. Everything is droopy, I don't think anything likes this heat. We did get 4 inches of rain yesterday, wish it would have been spread out over a week or so,but we have no choice in that, do we?

we had t-storms come through late this afternoon. It helped the temps some, but not the humidity so much.

Only about 98° or 99° today. You never really get used to heat, even if you live in a chronically hot area. But it doesn't get as hot here as some areas of southcentral Texas...we live in the hills, which keeps the heat down a bit. Around here we try not to say what it feels like outside in the summer. I just try not to use those kind of words! Cooler tomorrow! Got a very brief spritz of drizzle this morning. That won't even slow the drought down a bit!

We had a record high for the date here 2 days ago at, I believe, an official reading of 90 degrees, although our outside thermometer said 95. No one would live in the Mich. upper peninsula if they wanted to be that hot!!! Saw on the Weather Channel a few days ago, they asked viewers to send them their answer to "how hot is it?" My favorite was, "so hot the farmers are digging up baked potatoes in their fields." Hilarious!

We fried bacon on the sidewalk last week -- this week we're doing the eggs.

Wednesday morning a cold front came through.

It was only 98 degrees, so we chilled the OJ... Glare

I have to use the skillet for the bacon with my tomatoes.
We are having very nice sleeping weather here 58 last night and the night before.
I know it wont last after all this is August , but all the windows are open and we are enjoying it while we can.
