Since this is Celebrating Clematis Week, I thought I would pose a question to all regions that grow and love the plant. How do you pronounce the word "clematis"?

In the Eagles song 'Hotel California' there is a line "warm smell of klum-me-tus rising up through through the air" that was what, 80's??? Don't think it was late 70's? Might have been, but I'm thinking 80's. Still, my era.

We'll, I'm a hillbilly, so I say klum-a-tus or I guess it could be spelled klum-may-tus. Hilarious! Any way you slice it, that middle syllable is "may" in the way I say it. Lol Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing
