For a month I've been annoying myself by forgetting to buy a new liner to utilize a needed wire hanging basket. You gave me an alternative I hadn't thought of. I, too, have a good size roll of a nice thick weed cloth that I could & will use now. Thank You! for the instructions of how you attached it & all.

I dislike all things coir because of their negative environmental impact.
I do not like the look of coir baskets, and have been using large plastic containers inside the wire frames. Thank you for a good alternative.

Great idea! I have a wire trough on a stand on my front porch. It had a coir liner that the birds have been picking apart for nest building. Every plant I put in there over several years has failed. I never would have thought to line it with landscape fabric. I did toss the coir and purchased 5 plastic terracotta pots and set them inside the trough.
