I wish we could trade badges, I have extras but once you buy them there is nothing to do with them. You can display a certain amount beside your name on the post but then there is nothing except delete, I do not want to delete them if I paid acorns for them. I would rather give them to someone or trade them. Just saying. I'm all ears!

You can rotate your display of them; you don't have to delete them. Sometimes I switch mine around & display different ones.

Only the first twelve badges on your list show in threads when you post. When someone goes to your profile page, all your badges are shown. So, those icons still tell about your interests to anyone who looks at your profile page.

Like flaflwrgrl, I change the order of my icons now and then.

I wonder would it be possible to display 18 badges instead of only 12 ?? or would that really mess things up ?? looks to my untrained eye that there "should" be room for one more row of 6 Shrug!

Thanks! I just wanted to give a couple to a new person. I thought it might be fun to trade or give as gifts. But the acorns are ok, I just have to explain about how to go and buy a badge. I will rotate mine just to make sure they all get displayed. When I was new I bought a few just because they were cute, so I do not want to confuse anyone. LOL.

thing is... you might be right. It all depends on how @Dave has it set up. Since I'm NOT a programmer, I of course think it would be very easy to change that setup to just say we have 5 lines of data that can be shared there, and then give suggestions such as real name, zone, pithy quote, or badges. Right now, I believe that it's set up as 4 different database fields: real name, location/zone, pithy quote, badges. But if someone chooses to not share some of that info, then why couldn't we use that line for badges? Thumbs up (other than the nightmare it would be to program it) Hilarious!

You've used all five lines, Rita... I'm talking about for folks who haven't, like Gin. It's just another option for customizing our profiles, is all I'm saying.

I know Dave has enough on his mind right now. But maybe up the road he might decide to play around with it. I just think it would be cool to give them as gifts or trade them. I really do not care about the display, I like that the way it is. Thumbs up

@Horntoad created a Hibiscus microbadge and I've added it to the lineup!
