Local, we have several places around here the get large batches from hatcheries.. Since we can only have a small number, we couldn't mail order ourselves.

From research I know that many hatcheries sell Easter Eggers as Ameraucanas, from Wiki "Ameruacanas traits are dominant and when crossed with other breeds the offspring will resemble the Ameruacana. Easter Eggers have been sold as purebred Ameruacanas."
I wanted a blue/green egg so either one should work.
Thanks, Sue. I'm glad to see a vendor selling this breed. My usual sources for poultry are currently saying no ameraucaunas until spring, 2016! I've been thinking of getting some fertile eggs and hatching them myself.
The downside though is that you end up with a straight run so 50% of your birds end up being roosters. But I can't sex them until they are older so you end up raising all these birds but only half are keepers.
