Isn't it special, Kathleen? I really like this one. I avoided growing Clematis when I started gardening because the old standard rule of "roots in the shade, top in the sun" seemed so impossible to follow, but then I realized "in the shade" just meant that the roots shouldn't be allowed to bake in the sun to the point of drying out. Now I just keep them well watered and have no problems growing them.
