Thread OP

Celebrating Gardening: 2015
I am not sure of what to expect out here in the garden....
the Asiatic I thought were first but they bloomed second behind Regale Album
and the Asiatic are not all that much in bloom yet......
and I am presuming the trumpets
where do the tiger lilies fit in all this??
and so on

just need like a normal bloom time for all types of lilies...........in general......

I know the oriental blooms last and from the lily breeder she told me that Black Beauty blooms very late in the garden..........

usually Martagons, Asiatics, Trumpets, Orientals/OT's, but some varieties are earlier or later than others. And freshly planted lilies can be variable and weather conditions may screw things up, my regale is early this year too, but it has been unusually hot even for this horrible hot place. "Tiger Lilies" are Asiatics unless you are thinking of the American native Tiger lily. The old fashioned tiger lily, L. lancifolium is an asiatic and ssp flaviflorum which are very late-normally. There is nothing about this weather anywhere in the US that is normal this year.
