Great tutorial on the toad houses. I'm printing this out to add to my "to do" list too. I picked up a wind chime made from a small terra cotta pot at the thrift store. My mom used to paint tiny pots add a head, hair, halo and wings and glued a small dowel in the center for a plant pick. She could do any craft out there and so many of her own inspirations.

Another Toad Home. I glued another 4" pot on top of the house then put a spider plant in it. It's growing very nicely in that little pot. :)

DH just handed over his dremel tool set...with no instructions Blinking

can you post a picture of the 'tile cutting' bit that you use, so I can maybe match it up with one of these doohickies that comes with the dremel set? Hilarious!

OMG!!! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

So sorry for laughing AnjL!!! But there are so many dremel bits that look just like each other!! Did DH at least keep each drill bit in it's original packaging?? If not, tomorrow I will bring out my kit and see if there is a number or letter or something on the side of the bit to help. I will tell you that I had the hardest time changing bits! I had to have my brother help me loosen and tighten the bits. I'll get back with you tomorrow. In the meantime.....STEP AWAY FROM THE DREMEL!!!! Rolling on the floor laughing I did step away immediately! and I think DH got a bit scared just by the look on my face when I saw that kit Hilarious!

Especially when I asked the inevitable question...the one I already knew the answer to..."Where are the directions?!" I am a bit OCD about reading and keeping manuals and directions on EVERYTHING we buy...but the first thing he tosses in the garbage are the directions that he NEVER reads Grumbling So, if anything came with the Dremel it went in the garbage with the original receipt and box Glare

He does have all the bits in their lil holder places in the dremel container. Most of them have never even been used. I figured I'd just download the manual on the internet...but still dont know which one would be called the 'tile cutter'. I have a rounded end bit that DH says might work. I guess I'm scared to try anything he says "might work" about Whistling

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing I have a wood cutting tool and metal cutting with my dremel and they are both round with the stem in the center. So it looks like an umbrella only flat not rounded and very sharp edges all around.

OK, here is a picture of what the tile cutter bit looks like. I am a bit ocd too so I keep every package for every bit and I store the bit back in that same packaging just so I will know which one is which. Smiling This one is number 562, in the orange circle colored package.

Remember, cutting the door on the clay pot takes a while! It's not a quick job. You need to score the line first, then go back and gently start cutting with the side of the dremel bit. Don't try to force the bit through the pot, just press gently, back off a bit, press gently, etc. I usually alternate cutting one side then the other until I have just a small tab left at the center. My wrist generally gets sore after a while. Once you have just that small tab, don't try to just snap it off! You might end up with a disaster. Just gently work through it with the cutter until it falls off. I think I timed it one time and it took about 15 minutes to complete the door cut (that's without breaks). You will then need to go back and clean up the door way. I try to round all the edges off so there are no sharp points that the little critters might cut themselves on (or that I will cut myself on!).

I use the diamond cutting disc, and I soaked the pots for two days, I cut three doors in 15 minutes. So if you don't have that bit maybe you'll have the cutting disc/blade.
