I finally broke down and bought 2 c.m. at Lowe's on clearance late last year. Then we got the coldest winter on record. In the spring, they were dead twigs in the ground *shrug, oh well*. Then later, I'm spraying weeds and spray what I think is a poke weed and then realize: Its the C.M. Washed it off and they are both growing and doing very nicely. These must be newer very cold hardy varieties to take our winters. Don't know what color they will be.

Did they have labels, or was anything written on the side of the pots?

No, the labels had fallen off and that's why I think they were on clearance. You can get some pretty good deals with stuff that's mislabeled or unlabled at Lowe's. I bought a few pots of absolutely healthy and vigorous Moonlight achillea (yarrow) because the labels said it was the variety Terra Cotta and they can't sell them at full price if they are mislabeled. These were $7-8 a pot plants and I got em for $2 each.
