Hi Annie,

So sorry to hear about Riley, but it was probably for the best. She is at peace now. We love our animals, and then the time comes when they must leave us, but they will always remain in our hearts forever.

*** So far it's been a pretty rainy summer up here. Things are growing and blooming, but some not really like they should be. Just not enough sunny or very warm days. Makes me wonder if up here we are going to get hit with a heatwave end of July/beginning of August for about 2 weeks or so. With NO rain at all. Just have to wait and see, I guess.

Take care,
Jane

Hi Jane, Yes, Riley fought the good fight and I'm glad it's over and she's at peace. Guess we will never know what exactly it was that "got" her.

Yes very rainy summer here too, but with our heat everything is growing like mad. I dont think some things will do well this summer thought....tomatoes are taking forever to form and I bet they are watery and tasteless. My garlic looks bad...too wet. the cucumbers are loving it though!
I am not "country" I am "landed gentry."
