Well, I think my azalea bushes are *the* places for volunteers!

Found this volunteer, too. Anyone know what it might be?

Thanks Rob. Are the leaves right for phlox? But the bud does look like that now that you mention it!

Rob, you were right on! It bloomed today and it is definitely phlox!
All I can think is that it is the phlox 'Nicky' that I had in 2013 but it didn't seem to return last year, and here it is now!

Quite likely a seedling - they do seed around where happy.
