Well, I think my azalea bushes are *the* places for volunteers! Hilarious! Found this volunteer, too. Anyone know what it might be?

Rob, you were right on! It bloomed today and it is definitely phlox!
All I can think is that it is the phlox 'Nicky' that I had in 2013 but it didn't seem to return last year, and here it is now! Hurray!

Quite likely a seedling - they do seed around where happy.
