Bonnie--MTB Carla Beth seems to fade badly. Try Jean Witt's Little White Tiger. Saw it at convention & ordered from Aitkin's as it is nicer than the photo.

Muddymitts said:Bonnie -- I think I can send you Chantilly Bride this year. Let me check her tomorrow. Multnomah Falls is also a possibility -- I'll get back to you on that.

Tom -- the only one that I have on your list is Hollywood Star, and I just got her last year, so it'll be a while before I can share. Sad

Eric -- I have Queen's Circle, and I'm pretty sure she needs to be thinned. Let me check tomorrow and get back to you. I also have Accessible -- but I moved her last year, and I don't know if she has increased enough to divide. I'll check on her tomorrow too.

Richard -- I have a couple of Irises on your list, but they're too new to share yet. Again -- I'll check tomorrow and see what things look like.

Peggy -- I have Dangerous Mood. I'm sharing it with someone else this year -- I'll see if I have enough to share twice. Big Grin

Hi, even if you have alot of others thTs not on my list, I would be open to trading. That goes with all here in the forum.

Thank you, Lucy. That's good to know. I don't know anyone that grows CB I just like the colors. Thanks for recommending Little White Tiger. I will check it out.

I am like you. I have all kinds of little scraps of paper around my computer that have wish list irises. Put all together, they would be too long!!! I am quitting after the private club sale since I ordered several top picks from Dee. I love all of Blyth and Ghio intros. I really do not have room for too many more but hubby says I can have the strawberry patch since the blackbirds keep eating all of them and too many weeds in there. What a job that will be to clean out. Must wait until fall when it is cooler.

They are hybridizers who have to die for irises. Blyth is from Australia so his are hard to get at first until they trickle into USA vendors. Ghio is from Monterey Bay area and is in USA and his new intros are so beautiful. Keppel also has some beauties. I just like the ruffled beauties that are new. Some do well and some don't. If you put their names on Wiki iris site, sometimes it will show all of their intros. Don't know if the database on ATP does that.

yes, this database has that option.
go to plant database
on right side of screen you can visit custom databases click on irises
on left side of screen in search and browse box click on search by characteristics
in second box down type in hybridizers name and hit the search button.

Hi All,
My love of daylilies led me to ATP and now I am becoming interested in Irises. I was planning on buying a few from Gilbert H. Wild's. Particularly Beverly Sills, Immortality, and World Premier. These seemed to be a good basic start. I have a deep blue one that has an airier form and a soft sherbet orange one that bloomed the first time this year. I planted it 5 yrs ago and had given up on it. Those blooms were about 4 to 5 inches wide and we're just lovely. Because of that, I am going to add more irises to my gardens!

I have no irises to share yet. The two that I have are not labeled. My experience with ATP daylily offerings for sale is that I have purchased some lovely daylilies at prices I can afford. Are any of you able to point me in the direction of any members who offer irises for sale?

Finally, do you know if any of the reblooming irises actually rebloom in zone 5a? Our season is short and I wonder if there is actually time for those beauties to put out a second show. :)

Thank you everyone

Mary-Kay (no relation to any other Mary-Kays! Smiling )

It would have been nice to have this thread going before I started sending boxes. It would have been fun to pop in a few extra's that I knew people were looking for. Maybe next year we can get something like this going before we start shipping. Smiling

Welcome! Mary Kay, the only re-bloomer so far that has been successful for me is Immortality. Most of the others just freeze before they can bloom in the fall here in zome 5B. I have a couple newer ones that are supposed to re-bloom, but they haven't yet.

Welcome! Mary Kay ! I grow quite a few Re's, and have *fair* luck with them. My interest lies, mostly, with Historics, so I don't have many "new" iris....Re's, or "regular". My "most reliable" would include:
Earl Of Essex
Clarence
Baby Blessed (SDB)
Total Recall
Sangreal
Autumn Echo
Feed Back
Eleanor Roosevelt
Last years season was the best I ever had for rebloom, with about 40 cultivars blooming, and my 'rebloom season", actually ended up being longer than "spring bloom". I'm also in 5A, but, one thing to remember is that the USDA "Zone" really only tracks the average of "how cold does it get", NOT "how long is it cold".....and, IMHO, the latter means more than the former, as to rebloom.

I just got a message from Rainbow Farms that they cannot send some of my order. These are ones I had been really looking forward to growing. I know that no one on here grows them but if anyone knows a source for them please let me know.
