Hello, I was wondering if any of you would share pictures of your keeper seedlings, and perhaps comment why. This is my first year with seedling bloom, so its still to early to say that any of them are for sure keepers, although, there were about a half dozen I really liked, and a couple with good plant/scape traits, so a few probably will be, but I will wait another year before starting an evaluation bed. I have enjoyed looking at the seedling threads from the last two years, but I am sure many of you have seedlings from well before then, that you have decided to keep. I am anxious to see and hear about some of these.

Thanks,
Gale

This is a seedling that first bloomed in 2012
It's a mini at 2.78 bloom, it blooms from the end
of April until ? its still blooming, has a great scape
and bud count, fertile both ways. Will be registered
this fall.

Cindy- You have great looking keepers, I really like Brigade of Butterflies x Banned in Boston. I got Banned in Boston last year, and was looking forward to seeing it, and making some crosses with it, however, it did not bloom, hopefully next year.

Looking at the original request, it was for photos (very nice so far) but also for reason why those seedlings were selected. What is it about the few special ones you grow that make it worth being a keeper.

want in a UF, great bloom, great branching and bud count, reblooms, fertile
both ways and an awesome parent. Will also be registered this fall.

I have already sent in the registration form for this one.
Why I like this one so much...
Of course the teeth, this one is not as susceptible to thrips as the other toothies.
25 buds on a plant that I just moved.
It will have 35-40 buds on an established plant.

I really like this one because it reminds me of a great Tim Herrington daylily! Smiling

Thanks again,
