Need an inexpensive plant marker? This marker is cheap to make and almost invisible, too!

I'm going to be planting some seeds in an area where I am sure that a plant marker would disappear, since it is outside the fence. I was thinking of trying to write on some rocks instead. Do any of you know if this kind of paint will hold up over winter, and on a rock? If it won't, can you suggest something else? I figured that if I marked the spot, I'd at least remember where I planted something so that I didn't plant something else there too!

Natalie - You could try it. I am sure it would work. What about exterior house paint? Many paint store (including HD and Lowes) sell small sample jars of any color of paint that would be more than enough for your purpose. Just use a small artist's paint brush to write what you want on the rock.

You're a genius, Becky! We're going to Home Depot today, and I'll pick up a sample sized container!
