Alright, I'm totally hooked!! on these lilies since seeing them for the first time a while ago in an online shop.

Does anyone have these in their garden and if so, what are your experiences with them? I'd like to have them in a shady corner amongst some perennials later this year. However I'm confused...do they like woodland moisture or like almost all bulbs a dryer spot?

Welcome to the forum, Arico!
Martagon album has the same growth requirements as any martagon. Their preference is moisture retentive soil, but with good drainage. But they are very adaptable. The album form can be a bit more finicky than other martagon lilies. Normally, foliage remains green until fall, but if it is too dry, they will die back to the bulb in mid summer, but return the following spring.
