Do you mean the scientific/botanical name?

Squash is in the Genus Curburbita: http://garden.org/plants/searc...
Cucumber is in the Genus Cucumbis: http://garden.org/plants/searc...
Green Beans would be Phaseolus http://garden.org/plants/searc...
Melon is Cucumis: http://garden.org/plants/searc...
Pumpkin is Curcurbita: http://garden.org/plants/searc...

davidsevit,
If you want to you can make an edit to the post that shows the photos, just go to the post, look in the lower right corner and click on 'edit', add the names of the vegetables, and click on 'finished'; that way everyone will see both the photos and the plant names in the same post. Thumbs up

The edit I refer to is not part of your computer, it is located on the posts we make. Look in the lower right corner of your posts and find the word 'Edit'.
Thank you.
