I am posting this rant on the Horrer thread because that is what Lollipop Lilies are to me.
I had 3 trumpet lilies in a collection from B&D lilies.Planted 3 years ago 1 was tru the other 2 were not but I kept the yellow and melon colored ones because they went well together.Last fall I ordered Midnight a deep purple to go with the golds and melon.
The 3 came up and I watched to see they didnt get shaded out by the OP's in front.
As they developed I noticed leaves on 1 were different.Sure enough this AM it bloomked"Lollipop" the curse of my life.I couldnt believe such a cruel joke.

LOL That IS cruel! Maybe you should name it Audrey 2?

Its understandablw when a grower has bonuses ,they use Lollipops.
Why would I want anymore They are all pulled up now except for the big patch of teeeeny bulblets blooming, 1 flower on the back hill.
DD will plant the ones I dug today, in her garden.

Scary! Be veryyyyy scared!

Now I'm going to have to rethink the irises I send as bonuses. Is Shall We Dance taking over the iris world. I never thought about that.

You could always post your Lollipops in the giveaway/sales section. They don't multiply here much, certainly not too crazy. I think the differences in soil conditions and growing conditions can make all the difference. In fact, ge, I'm jealous of your circumstances

I gave them to my daughter.She finally has the gardening bug and is recovering the Rockgarden that was here.Its on a slope so I cant garden there.Its too far from the house too.

Its a sweet spot with an erratic on the left.There are overgrown Sibs and iTBI's and other stuff(wild daisies) she is dealing with now.
I vote for round-up the daisies.Its her spot ,glad I dont have to deal with it.

It's great you gave her the gardening bug though. That's quite a compliment.

She always had beautiful gardens at her old house.She is a scientist and knows a lot more about plants that I ever will.

Pollyanna. These came from a co-op and I started out with about 7 of them. Should be a really big clump in another year.

New Wave I think came from the same co-op and I ended up with it in 3 places. Nice shorter white. The plant with it here is an annual coreopsis called Ruby Frost.

You do such a nice job composing your garden, Susan.

Thanks Moby, but it's mostly fortunate accidents. Most things anymore just go where a space is.
