It's not that unlikely that both are the same plant. They both have an eye, it's just not that apparent. One appears to be a small plant, grown in a container, and because of this, is possibly stressed from lack of food and consistent moisture. If, in addition to this, the photo was taken in the afternoon, both the eye and the petal color could be washed out. I've grown a few Munsons in a cool-night climate with uneven weather and they can look radically different from day to day.
