I think ENTWINED IN THE VINE is a wonderful daylily, and it has been in my garden for a few years now and weathered some absolutely horrid conditions between summer sunshine and heat, drought restrictions and weeds -- and it's still here!

The blooms are probably not as gorgeous here in Bakersfield as in more temperate climates with good humidity, and it doesn't show much in the way of teeth for me, but I still love it.

Entwined in the Vine survived last year's horrendous winter in a pot, so I'm pleased with it even though it only bloomed on one of four scapes this year. The pollen is strong, and I have lots of seed with it as a pollen parent crossed on my toothy seedlings.

One of my absolute favorites! I received a proliferation in 2011 that grew quickly and bloomed the following year.
Intermediate/fast increase, each fan scapes regularly

Big beautiful blooms that tend to ocasionally have extra mid rib tissue ( note left petal on bottom bloom). Size of teeth increases with Heat. VEry pollen fertile. I have not tried to set pod enough to judge pod fertility.

This mid rib tissue must be at least partially genetic as a seedling also shows this trait.

I join in praise of this gorgeous daylily. I divided my original clump a few years ago so I have 2 vigorous clumps in widely separated areas of my yard. But 'Entwined in the Vine' is my second favorite Emmerich hybrid... my first favorite is 'Kingdom Without End' although it has not increased quite as fast as Entwined...

I love this Daylily, only acquired it this year in April as a bareroot fan and it is now in bloom, my only criticism would be that mine has some slight canoeing in the petals, but that is forgivable as it's such a beauty. I am cross pollinating with several others in my large collection, I did notice the pollen appears to be a very pale yellow, I am guessing this is normal for this cultivar. Hoping also to set a pod or 2 on it, time will tell if it sets! Photo of canoeing petals attached, but still one of my top favourites this year.

I've had Entwined in the Vine in the gardens for 5 years ... and, being zone 3, consider it reliably hardy!

I also must sing praises for this gorgeous daylily, it's one of my personal favourites. Yes: that distinct midrib is prominent but only adds a textured look; and it does have a tendency to show some canoeing ... totally forgivable.

Another trait I did not see mentioned: in my gardens, it has also produced several polymerous blooms ... at least once every season, if not more. Also not noted, the sepals regularly are recurved. It's also 'very' fragrant - always a definite plus.

I will be dividing and also moving Entwined in the Vine this year, it's too gorgeous not to have a premium location and too precious to not have in more than one location.
Life is what happens while you are making other plans.

I planted EITV in April 2021, maybe not in a premium spot but not bad. However it has so far stubbornly remained at two fans. One of them bloomed this summer ( 2022) July 8-22, producing 8 flowers. They are very pretty, as everyone points out. I didn't have any trouble with canoeing, all 8 blooms were perfect.

2023 update…not a good year for this plant. It doesn't seem very happy. It is finally up to 3 fans but it only produced 4 blooms this summer and three of them were ugly.
