Finially. I have been looking closely. Last week none of my trumpet lilies had broken ground yet, today most have started peeking thru.

My Silk Road lilies are coming up with really nice thick steams, hurry. They were new last year. All sorts of OT and AT hybrids really showing for the first time today. Believe me, I have been looking very closely. I think the warm days we had had really helped to push them up.

My asiatics had mostly started way before this. Some oriental lilies are starting up now too. All in all it should be a very good lily year.

I am looking forward to them all blooming. I added so many of the "fancy" varieties last year. That is trumpet, orienpet and various hybreds. Before that I only had asiatic and oriental lilies. Still love the straight oriental and asiatic lilies but really wanted trumpets and hybreds too.

I especially love the OTs. They have done so well for me here, where the orientals can be iffy for us.

Yeah, all my lilies are beginnng to pop. Smiling Now all I need to do is to get everything weeded and mulched and the show can begin! Smiling

I was picking up sticks today, ugh. I have a 17 cubic ft. wagon I pull behind my garden tractor and I filled that puppy up three times today. I used sticks to make a rustic rack so I could fill it beyond the top of the wagon. It worked really well, it was just really difficult to unload. I'm tired. Smiling But it's worth it, now that nasty part is done and I can get down to the weeding and mulching. Smiling Yay!!
