I know this isn't a disease, but I just wanted to pass along this information I received
regarding a disturbing release about a new invasive species hitting our gardens and even crossing over to houseplants. Something all of us need to be aware of. Please watch the video from Utah State Extension Service. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0foMKAxCww

OH NO!! Does this mean I can no longer trade plants for fear of further dispersal?? I'm doomed...
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?

Moby, you'll have to quarantine any new plants for a while I guess. I thought it was pretty scary that it could be transferred to trees!

I have to report I saw this down the road very close by. I will be on the lookout for possible invasion!

Guess I'm pretty lucky. I've had just one in my garden for many years. It's never multiplied or set seed. Should I pull it up and destroy before my luck runs out?

Well, if it's been there for many years, you've probably got it contained Smiling

Maybe I have a cultured, less invasive type? I found this one hard at work with everything looking quite tidy ~

Well, if they are going to tidy up nicely like that, we will have to reconsider their invasiveness.

Hmm... maybe it's because I've always tried to be considerate and generous toward the wee folk? There are a couple hollows in an old tree that I'm certain house fairies.

How do I know? That little chair pictured ~ last year I found this in it!
