Mags, it has been really cool here and I think that brings on more intense colors. In the meantime, the forecast for next week is in the mid 90s.

Ah...my morning mood lifter pics:) Thanks for the comparison shot Connie. Sometimes I copy/paste pics for comparison....then deleted of course...but sizing them for side by side without losing resolution is difficult. Including the tape measure is very helpful as well.

Did nepalense come back this year? Mine never bloomed but I may try another one.

It might not have come back. I'm still waiting in the area I planted it last fall. I mulched the area very well and it is protected. I lost a couple markers this spring. I don't think critters eat those sorts of things, but around here, they do all sorts of unexpected things.

Missed you dearly at the UMWRU and the timing on the Iowa Round up was poor because of a very ill family member.

Are you going to Maxine's later in the summer? I might be going there depending on the date she chooses. (((Tracey)))

Donna, if you are still watching, could you show some pictures of lilies with the ornamental grasses?

You and I both have a love of the ornamental grasses, and they go so well with the lilies.
