Lin, sounds like a good plan to me.
I have such a short attention span anymore that it would be good to have someone keep me on track so that the project didn't get put aside and forgotten.
I love to look at the beautiful snowy scenery but I can't imagine having to live with snow and ice and freezing temperatures for more than ... about three days!
Although we got some snow during the winters in coastal Virginia where I grew up, it was never very much; the most I remember was @ 14 inches (and we thought it was a blizzard!) I've lived in Florida for more than 48 years and I can't imagine having to deal with snow and ice for more than a few days. The older I get, the more the heat and humidity of summer bothers me so I'd love to be a snowbird living in the north during the summer and returning to Florida during the winter months!
My husband and I hope to visit Canada some day. In June 2013, we visited family in the Syracuse, N.Y. area and made a side trip north to Alexandria Bay for a few days. We took our passports because we planned to drive over the border into southern Ontario to spend a day but the weather ended up being horrible so we cut our trip short and headed back to Syracuse to spend more time with my husbands elderly brother and sister in law before catching our flight back home to Florida. Another ATP member (
@threegardeners )who also lives in Ontario told me about a couple of interesting sights to see in your area so hopefully we'll make it back up that way some day and get to see the beautiful Canadian side of the border!
