I have a couple of hanging baskets of portulaca. I need to know if the'll survive if I keep them in small greenhouse, covered, in coastal N. Carolina, or do they have to come inside.

They should be fine with frost protection. Mine actually grow in the greenhouse during the winter. There is a Portulaca and Purslane Forum that can help answer any other questions you may have. Plus a lot of pictures for you to oooh and aaaahhhh over.
