They really are gorgeous. If I had more room I would have them in my collection. Usually I stay with the ones that stay under 8". Recently I made a mistake by ordering N. Violet Fireball, I assumed it was like the other Fireball hybrids I have which are pretty small. This guy is a monster. Oh well, let's hope it is as pretty as the picture.

I held back a couple of potted 'Voodoo Doll' and a couple of mounted ones. I also did the same with the 'Michi'. They will be mine to enjoy in the S room. For some reason, though the potted ones have grown larger, the mounted ones both have two pups. I am confident that the ones in pots will grow generous pups and yours should too, @IbisFla. Perhaps, because mounted plants have more stress placed on them, "pupping' is initiated sooner.

I ventured out to the greenhouses yesterday for the first time since Tuesday, Jan. 19. I just HAD to check on my babies and give them a bit of water. My wife was not happy with me but I did not hurt my back. I feel better now, knowing the plants got a drink.

My bromeliads are beautiful. I put them in my kitchen and love them. Can't wait to have some pups! Hurray! I tip my hat to you.

That's great, Julie. The kitchen is a good place to enjoy them.
