I adore this image! However, that is not a Canna. It looks like a Heliconia, possibly Heliconia psittacorum.

Thanks, you're very right Danita! I did realize my mistake and had already asked to move the picture to the right entry being indeed Heliconia psittacorum!

I love all of the interesting plants you photograph and really enjoy all of your contributions!

The threads in this forum are moved to the sandbox automatically when the thumbnail photo is deleted. This one was merely moved, however, so the thread will remain in this forum. No reason not to keep the thread here, in my opinion, because it does call attention to Myriam's stunning photo.

Thanks Zuzu, it was pure luck to get that shot with the hummingbird! I wasn't aware even of its presence, while I was taking a shot of the flower!
