Feeding the birds brings much to our lives. We see and learn from these beauties in a way we wouldn't otherwise. This joy may create some unexpected yard work.

This was a good read, and very informative! I started feeding hummingbirds last year, and this year expanded to "regular" birds. I learned from this that what I THOUGHT was safflowers growing from the seeds was actually small sunflowers(?). And, BTW, it's purely coincidental that I JUST posted a comment on another of your posts Sticking tongue out

Thank you very much. :D I really find joy in seeing the birds so close. They were my first experience with nature. I started noticing the bugs which is also food for the birds, so began gardening in earnest, since I learned some insects needed specific plants for food.
