A week and a half ago we had a bad ice storm, we have cleaned up the mess it left behind.

Now...
It's supposed to be 70 degrees tomorrow!!!

This weekend we have chance for a wintry mix, welcome to Oklahoma!

It seems like the seasons are a month behind here. Winter probably won't come until January.

No fog this morning but I still hear this robin singing. He needs to go south before its too late Smiling Temps are supposed to be near 60 by the end of the week. This is not very common here this time of year.

It's horribly windy here today, and raining sideways. I wouldn't mind it so much if our son wasn't flying home today. I hope it dies down before we have to leave for the airport in an hour. We just had a 42 mile per hour wind gust, so the drive should be nice and scary. Blinking At least it isn't snowing! I'm really thankful for that!

It got up to 90F yesterday which is insane. They are calling for 80F today, which is still pretty insane. We did run the air conditioner yesterday evening. I don't know how I would have fallen asleep without it. It is supposed to be in the 60s the rest of the week and that is good.

I hope you get your 60s, Kelli. You sure deserve some cooler weather.

Made it to the city and back with no problems. Mother Nature was kind enough to slow down the winds and stop the rain for our drive. Lots of tree branches down though, and saw more on the way home. We got really lucky, I think, with the timing! Just now got a text that our son's plane has landed.

We spent three days cleaning up the leaves in our yard and are finally finished (for the time being--more to come down later). We were in a hurry to do this because the forecast said rain for the and of the week and the week-end. This time we didn't want to take a chance that the weather guessers were wrong. The weather was perfect for working outside and both DH and I overdid it, and are stiff and sore.
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.
