Cutting was potted about 2 months now. Spotted the inflo about 3 weeks ago. It's got a lot bigger and now has two green leaves but not sure if it will make it. I guess it all depends on when winter wants to come this year. Whistling
Would sure be nice to see if the flowers match the picture?

That's the name, huh, 'Red Plumeria"? I guess if the flowers are red, count yourself lucky. That's just so "commercialization", Patrick. Maybe its just me, and if I sound out-of-line, excuse me.

No worries.
Yeah, I read on a post here a while back that the picture of the cutting's flowers that came with the purchase, doesn't necessarily mean the flowers will be like the picture.

The buds are dark enough that it could be a red.

I got a NoID cutting from over 2 years ago from a co worker, at first year of planting it rooted quickly and formed inflo similar to yours but quite late in the season so it never bloomed for me but I got 3 tips. Now all 3 tips have inflo and one bud just opened and it is red Hurray!

So even if it is no ID, it will not bother me to call it red plumeria. Red is red Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

@GigiPlumeria

I see water on your plumies, do you water the whole plant including leaves etc, in the mornings?

Thank You!

Lucky that is rain water. It rained early this morning. If it is too dry during summer time and if I can get up early enough before the sun is out, yes I sometimes water the flowers and leaves. I feel like it helps them make it through the hot summer days. When the sun is out I only water the base.

Still looks promising Lucky! It may still push the blooms. We are still on a hot temp streak. I hope you are watering it now since leaves are out already. My little plumie yellow has just pushed its last bloom I think for the season, and it was really slow too but it managed it. Crazy temps we have here, my garden sensors is reading 101F and our humidity so low at 17% right now. Plumies need to drink big time!

I also water on the root zone area only, since I do not have rainwater. It seems if I spray hard water on the leaves, it gets those ugly marks. It is different if using rainwater, plants love liquid gold.

Thanks Tarev
I have been watering. Once I saw that 2nd green leaf I started to water from a little to a lot now. It now just opened up its third 3 leaf.
These temps are amazing. I can't ever remember when we last went up and down in temps like this the whole summer. Mother nature is really confused right now.
Just when I thought mid 80s for now on, it just went to 97 or 99. Crazy weather.
