horntoad, you post some beautiful pics. of Hibiscus, have you ever started them from seed, I have lots of seed that I have gathered from my plants and want to know the best time to plant them outside, I hope to have lots of them in my front garden next years.

Which Hibiscus do you have? I usually plant everything in the spring, but I would think most North American species, like H. moscheutos could be winter sown if you wanted. It might improve germination since that is what would happen in nature.

Jay: I have seeds of Hibiscus Fireball and also will try to winter-sow them, saving some for spring sowing as well.

Thank you. I have both Hardy and Tropical so I think I will plant most of the hardy this winter.
