So beautiful, all of them.

I believe the white one is "Jing Yu" instead of "Xiang Yu" because of the pink tone.
"Jing Yu " is more pink and more double. "Xiang Yu" is more white , not so double and not so pink , and fragrant.

I ordered this from Tree peony garden 7 years ago, so far this TP turned out just as they described on their website http://www.treepeonygarden.com...
The age and the weather have effect the TP flower form so much, specially with this particular verity.here are some pictures from other year on the same plant, you will know what I mean.

Littlebin, you sound so knowledgeable about Chinese tree peonies. Do you grow many? Which ones are your favorites?

Yan, your tree peony is really gorgeous! It is nice that it produces various forms of flowers on the same plant.

Thank You! Karen
If you are looking for a new addition for your collection, that's a good one to go, it smells so good when it blooms, it can handle colder climate too.

Hi, Yan, I still doubt it is Jing Yu because of the pink tone. I think Xiang Yu will not have so much pink and your pictures looks different from their pictures when compared side by side. The changes of flower form with age are common to all tree peonies : single at young ages, more double when mature.

But no matter which variety, your flowers are gorgeous.

Karen, thank you! China is my mother country, I don't grow a lot of Chinese tree peonies though. There are still a lot of varieties I haven't seen yet. I like wild species of tree peony more.

Littlebin, are you good at grafting? Someday when my tree peonies are established, I don't mind giving you some scions to graft or maybe divisions. Maybe in a year or 2, I may have some if you are interested. Hopefully you are in the US because I don't send outside of the US.

I am wondering how long flowers last on Rockii hybrids? Named and not.

My double Joseph Rock lasts a good 10 days or so... Of course dependent on potential downpours
