Thread OP

Anyone know what this is? I tried a few tree/plant ID guides and it seems like it might be some type of larch tree, but I can't find a perfect match.

Thanks!

If it is the native tree it should be Tamarack, but both Japanese and European were introduced by logging companies and there are hybrids of them for faster growth. On top of that there are 3 varieties of the European. After looking at all the pictures I also could not make a clear choice.
