I grew honey melon last year and it did bloom about 3 weeks earlier , a nice red maybe not as vivid as pineapple.
Honey Melon did not have near the sent, less blooms and was about 30% over all smaller plant in my garden.
The smaller size may be due to the earlier bloom time Shrug!
..a balanced life is worth pursuit.

@gardengus Thanks for the input. I will have to give it some more thought. I will admit it is nice to have such vivid red blooms on such a large plant this time of year.

Frost got my salvia, it's so sad I loved looking at the bright red flowers and grabbing a nibble of the flowers as I walked through the gardens. Now I have to wait till next September.
