Every website i looked at called it something different!
Yes I saw Dinosaur Gourd, Alligator Gourd, Caveman Gourd. Dinosaur is the one I am most familiar with. After it is accepted you can go back and add some of those other common names and any details you know about it and don't forget to add a local report if you have grown it yourself.
Name: Sandy B. Ford River Twp, Michigan UP (Zone 4b) (Zone 4b-maybe 5a)
I may just be overthinking this thread... but, TK, did the database actually accept the listing as "Langenaria" ? -- because I think the actual spelling is "Lagenaria" and if nothing else that version is also in the database.

It didn't change the spelling. It could not find what you typed so it made a suggestion, but that does not mean that is the correct name. Every listing I find online show Marankas.
Name: greene Savannah, GA (Sunset 28) (Zone 8b) I have no use for internet bullies!
Maybe Maranka is just as "also sold as" name that could be added to the gourd already in our database?
I see it advertised as Dinosaur, Caveman, Maranka.
Or why not just add your photo to the generic Lagenaria siceraria page and move it later?
