Spruce Knob sounds like a place I visited once too. I'll never forget it...ever! Nor will I ever go back...unless it's on foot.
Hiking up that kind of road wouldn't bother me a bit, but driving in two direction traffic on a road wide enough for one...no way! We weren't even there long enough to appreciate it; we were just looking for an overnight camping spot. No place to turn around either...you must progress all the way up, whether you want to or not.

Yep, that's it Chelle, I said I'm glad I did Spruce Knob, but I will never EVER go back there again. There are probably permanent indentations in the car's door handle I was gripping it so tight!

Wow, that is such beautiful country. We went up one year after some pretty heavy flooding and the road was closed and we had to detour. Such a narrow winding road, it was really nerve racking. Finally reached a point where half the road was washed out and only one lane of traffic could go though. I was so relieved to make it to the main road again.
