24 degrees F didn't knock them out, but the plants got a one-two punch and succumbed at 17 degrees. I shot the following photos before the season shut down.

They're still blooming here and I love them all the more because we didn't get hit with that frost.

Thank you, Arlene. I sometimes sit at the computer and go through my dahlia photos in the middle of winter. I take way more photos of the garden than I do of people.http://garden.org/i/s/lol.gif

I did the attached arrangement last night for my garden club's hospitality table. This morning I did four vase bouquets. I picked the dahlias Saturday, late day. They lasted better than I thought they would. The arrangement will likely last another few days. The last hurrah, if you will.
