So they are introducing six total cultivars.

3 TBs

1 AB

1 AM

1 SDB

The pool of choices would be crosses made from 2011 and earlier (here too I am guessing in making an arbitrary cutoff point as I think there would not be enough stock to make an introduction. I guess an argument could be made for 2011 crosses as well. Oh well.)

Let's start with the three types where only on example is being introduced: AB, AM, & SDB.

no Tom, (you silly Goose), Rick & Roger already announced (in an email to me) that the number of introductions for 2016 will be six. You have been sitting too long in front of the computer. Please go outside and take care of the horses (or maybe visit with your shop steward).

Ok, I did alot of seedling downloading last year from the Superstition Iris Gardens Facebook website. If I stick with my 2010/2011 crosses only, then there is only one choice.

Seedling 11-AB-01-09

so this is my choice. I don't have any 2009 or earlier pictures nor do I have any other 2010/11's that they did not post to facebook that may be introduced. Still; this is my choice.

Here I have a large field to choose from. Dang!

There are four to choose from, but I think these are the best two.

TBs.

Ok, this is going to be hard. There are seven possible TBs that fit the 2010/2011 parameter. Here are the contestants.

The first two in this group have been identifed as possible 2017 introductions; so we must send them off.

And two sort of look similar, so we can only pick one of them (I vote that the other goes in 2017-of course I do not get a say in that decision)

11-TB-01-22

Also has a crystalline edging to both standards and falls that just sparkles. Good stalks with 8 buds. We'll replant every increase we have to get an even better look next year."
