This is the most bizarre flower I have ever seen on an Adenium.

This is one flower from one bud. I can count 17 large/medium petals, plus there about 8 more small ones (½-1" long) already brown and dying in the center. That's a total of at least 25 petals!

The flower is 5" in diameter at the widest point.

This is a seed-grown plant, 8" tall with a single stem. Unfortunately, there are no more obvious buds in the growing tip. so it will be some time before I will know if other flowers from this plant will follow the same pattern.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this with their Adeniums?

Wow! Five inches across and bizarre! Yours is the first I have ever seen, Ron. Imagine that! Well, they do say the second flush may be different. Hope it will be 5" again next time around. Thumbs up

Ron, I have experienced this on a few trees. Can be just one bud that does this and the others all form complete. Not sure if it is related to through fertilizating or if somehow insect related.
Never seems to effect the other blooms.
