I always feel sorry for the ones that lost a limb! I can't kill things unless they are of the blood-sucking variety, like mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, etc. I have trapped numerous critters (including spiders, snakes and lizards) in my parents' house in the woods, and relocated them outside. One winter, I couldn't bear to throw out a Mamma mouse, so I put her in a cage where she promptly gave birth. It was fun seeing them scamper off into the woods in the spring! Lovey dubby
