I agree, a closeup of the leaves and maybe the tree bark will help. My first thought was perhaps Weeping Beech but I don't know if it grows in Arizona. You can view images here for comparison:

I don't know what it is but others surely will.

Definitely not Beech. I wonder if it could be some sort of Carya (Pecan, Hickory)? but with that pendulous growth habit I'm not sure.

Keep watching though because I know someone here will recognize it and be able to give you an ID.

Here is picture at base (about 12" dia) and at about 5' up. the tree is approx 30 to 35 feet tall.

A pecan or hickory would have compound leaves.

The leaves appear to be toothless which narrows down the possibilities, and look more alternate than opposite, not that that helps me any. The fruits should hopefully help somebody recognize them though. I'd pondered Moraceae of some kind but don't know of any that match those fruits.

Could it be a more weeping form of Brachychiton populneus?

The hanging growth pattern of Mike's tree is very attractive and looks different from the tree pictured in the database. Is it a different subspecies?

Are those nuts or are they seeds pods with lots of tiny seeds?
Maybe Brachychiton acerifolius Bottle Tree or something similar?

The weeping form of Mike's tree throws me off a bit but I did find a nursery site that showed a young tree and it was more weeping than the mature ones in the pictures. Not saying it's definitely B. populneus but apparently it is a species that is used in landscaping in Arizona.
