The leaves of Brachychiton acerifolius very from being deeply-lobed, to almost entire and elongated.

Some characteristics given, if they are accurate ..

Native to the dry forests and coastal scrub of northeastern Australia, the tree has smooth green bark and a pyramidal shape when young. With age, the bark becomes cracked and gray, and the tree's canopy a bit more muscular and spreading. Tap the trunk and it sounds hollow, although packed with fibers


Each leaf is bluish green with fuzzy grayish white undersides. Leaf shape is typically a five-lobed star, but older trees' leaves produce more shallowly lobed foliage.


A distinguishing feature of the Queensland lacebark is the cluster of five seed pods that may develop on branch tips, resembling a star from below
