Irises forum: My mom has a mystery re-bloomer!

My mom sent me these pictures, and I haven't figured out how to search the database quite yet. Every time I try, it tells me there are zero matches. Grr.

Anyway, I told her I'd try to ID her mystery iris here. Anyone recognize it? It just bloomed a couple days or so ago, so a relatively late re-bloomer. It seems to be a Tall Bearded. She's located in Jefferson County, Missouri, about a half hour south of St. Louis proper.

Any guesses?

Do you think it could be 'Sharlee'?

I can't help, but it sure is pretty. Hope someone has an answer for you.

Does she know where or about when she got the iris? That could help narrow it down.

The system won't let me copy the search results page. Because I can't tell the difference between the two designations, I searched by Rebloom, Amoena; then did a second search by Rebloom, Emma Cook. Didn't see anything close enough to make a guess, but maybe someone else will have better luck. Thumbs up

Sharlee is a somewhat close match and is a rebloomer but has yellow shoulders which hers doesn't. Another close is Elsie Richardson which doesn't mention rebloom on the Database, but has the same haft marks. Try Googling for more pictures of both, but for me Elsie Richardson is more likely. There is more color in the standards but we know that can vary.

Does she remember where and when she got the plant? Sharlee came out in 1982 and Elsie R in 1992

These have been in her garden for a quite a while, so really there's no saying WHEN she got them. But it's probably been no more than fifteen years, if I had to guess. And she has no idea where she got them. She's got several NOIDs in her yard. This one is a great grower, and reblooms for her every year, reliably. It's got about five more buds ready to go.
