Is it okay to enter older images if they haven't been submitted previously or should the image be from 2015?
Is there a suitable category for images of fungi, lichen and such (I'm thinking Plant Macros (Closeups))?

Also I wonder what is considered significant digital alteration:
Are focus stacked images okay?
The digital version of dodge and burn?
Various HDR techniques as in taking different exposures and combining them by hand or software to capture the full dynamic range of the scene?
Small localized color changes/corrections as in for instance compensating for different color temperatures of foreground(subject) and background such as what can happen when for instance shooting with flash.

You can submit older images, but please don't enter images that you entered in last year's ATP photo contest.

We don't have a category for fungi, lichen or other non-plant organisms.

No obvious digital alterations.

Aww, that's too bad. I had one I might have added. Great question, though, William. Thumbs up And thanks for the answer, Dave. Big Grin

Is it OK to enter a frog pic in the insects and birds on buds section?

Thanks. I think I saw one with a frog from last year.
