I've only seen a triple pod once, and I've seen hundreds of pods; that is a rarity, Ken!!

Gosh, KD, this is only an 18 month old seedling. These "opportunities" are not even supposed to start for two more years.

Really - And at least I for one am sharing in your excitement. This plant just does not cease amazing. Is IS special.

My wife being able to name it makes it that much more special.

I use that "historic" term, tongue-in-cheek, Gigi. I just have an unusual seedling. Historic is a more dramatic term than unusual.

David, there probably won't be anything more to report/photograph for quite a while. I have never had pods to know, but I am told that it will take a year or more for these pods to fully "ripen".

Nah, it depends on the variety my DPS ripened in 8 months but the seeds are not as viable.

Average is 9 months. The pods generally form in the summer months and open the following year just as the summer rains start. Mother Nature has that nicely figured out.

Yep, that's what my wife said before our son was born.

Hey my Barbados Showgirl seedpods took more than a year to ripen. And they didn't bloom this year, so ko seedpods for me.

Ken - I think you need to mount a cam and provide us with a live feed.
