I need to take a pic of my Chalice vines and post them. Want to know just how fast they grow in a large pot and how large they have to be to bloom.

I won't hijack this thread, and I don't have a pic yet so when I do I will start a new thread.

But..............one of these is a 'need" for next year.

The same plant has the small blue flowers and the dark bat flowers? That is freaking strange.

Stictocardia is by far the most robust... in everything it does... i must have left thousands of buds on when it got cold... but it starts flowering about july here ... and makes dozens of flowers at each leaf node by the fall... I started a few cuttings in November ..and now they cover a window inside... must be 10 ft long now.. about time to put them in soil... but it matters little to them whatever you do... sun .. food water ... soil or water ... it will just use everything you give it... with 6-8 vines ... I might be on the bio terrorist watch list... it roots as nicely as it does everything else too... a champion grower..

Sure...Anna....they are big I tell you... how would you like it managed... a big box to put it in... or should I trim it down... two plants might get you on the watch list too... they are wild growersI'll get on from where the pictures are ..

Well...these pictures are July 31...lots of flowers...
So putting them out in May..it's been three months and you can see them in the very back of the picture..covering the trellis and going fron the left to the right...soon they will be leaving that on a few bits of 100 lb test monofilament ... And traveling 20 ft...to where the picture was taken from...then up a 20 ft pole ..
.right..never a seeding problem. With one type.... As strongly as it does everything else...I bet it would be comical

Lows at night this week are supposed to be 35, 38, and 28. Low of 20 on Thursday night. Highs are 54, 44, and 46 today thru Wed. Jeez, I suppose that is too cold to send anything now?

@mkb136 I think I have that same vine growing here in Washington. Not something I planted, so it may be native to this area. I know I tried to identify it once, but don't recall if I found it. I'll take a look back and see if I ever came up with an ID. I like it, but it is a bit invasive here.
