Happy New year. It's January and so far I've had two blooms. One I missed with the camera, the second one came out yesterday. Unfortunately its a NOID.

Three more buds on this plant and one more on Meadow Rose so should have some more in a few days.

That seedpod I posted a pic of a couple of weeks ago looks just the same. Still firm and the same color. I'm tempted to remove it look inside, or maybe I'll wait until it drops off.

Three blooms today. Two we have seen in the last couple of weeks. The new one is Rambling Rose (not Meadow Rose like I thought above). I like this. Nice light shade of rose pink.
Spotted another bud on a different Wild Acclaim so January is turning out to be a good month.
Must be something weird about the weather because we also have a night blooming water lily with a bud and a hurricane in the central pacific.
Weather officials also posted 2015 rainfall totals. We are two miles from a rain gauge the recorded 212 inches of rain.

Beautiful, Mike! I wish a little of that rain would make it to the mainland. Our total is a little over 2" for the 'rain year' (Oct. 1).

The avatar photo is my favorite also. Its called Grand Prize. It was one of the first plants I started with about 9 years ago. Its one of the biggest blooms I have, the plant is one of the strongest growers and easy to propagate from cuttings. I won't see any new blooms on that one until April or May.

Off season blooms! What a treat! I have 1 bud so far this season. I am happy to see it. I am also happy to find this forum. I have missed being in touch with others who love epies as much as I do.

Hi Linda,
I have one more Wild Acclaim bud that I'm watching, that will make six blooms for January which is the most January blooms I've ever had. Our weather has been cloudless, warm and sunny for about three weeks. The heat and slightly longer days seems to have prompted new growth. Also started watering weekly. Those dark red branches starting to pop up all over. Just have to wait now for more buds.
