Here's A. arabicum "Yak Yemen." I recently acquired him from a small local plant nursery. I named him "Tank."

Washed off old soil. scrubbed fungi from stems, and repotted in gritty mix.

Leafing out nicely...top of leaves feels textured, underside feels velvety.

Those black spikes on the internodes look and feel like thorns.

That's a neat-looking adenium, KD. I should have "specialized" in adeniums rather than orchids. Sticking tongue out

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.

Do you want to buy approximately 500 orchids, Hetty? Whistling

I am too old to start another "passion". Sighing! I'll just have to keep my adenium-growing as a niche in the greater scheme of things. I admit they are more interesting in their development than orchids are.

I am having so much fun watching the development of those plumeria seed-pods. So far, I have five (pair) of them developing. Since I have never had a single seed-pod grow before, I don't know whether five pair is the norm for my seedling or not. I assume (and again, I don't know since this is the first) that my flowering on the 'Honeysuckle Rose' is coming to an end, right? Or can flowering and seed-pod growth occur side-by-side?

Yes it certainly can.

And no, not interested in 500 orchids but I bet there are people who would be.....

Perhaps......don't think I am ready to do this just yet, Hetty. Sticking tongue out

Since this is off-subject, I will follow up on the Plumeria forum.

@drdawg
I love orchids...but unlike you, I do not have a "green thumb" for them. Sighing!
